About PCSA
The President’s Council of Student Advisors (PCSA) is the student-led organization of The American Ceramic Society (ACerS) composed of ceramic and glass-focused students from around the world.
Undergraduate and graduate students who have a strong interest in ceramic and glass science with leadership qualities are encouraged to apply!
Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate or Graduate students in Material science or related fields
- Will graduate at the end of 2026 September
- Interested in a career in Ceramics and/or Glass

The 2025-2026 application for PCSA is now open! If you are interested in applying to PCSA, please review the following documents that are part of the application process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which visa type should I apply for?
You should apply for a B1 visa after you send in your signed contract. Make sure to apply earlier, especially in countries like Pakistan, Turkey, India, Brazil, Ukraine, and Afghanistan where appointment times are longer.
What if the passport I apply with, expires before the ABM, what should I do?
You can apply with the passport you have. However, ensure that the passport is renewed before sending us the invitation letter details if you are selected as a PCSA candidate.
If I apply with a CV template other than the one provided, will it negatively impact my application?
No, it will not the template provided is for your ease, and using any other template will not negatively impact your application.
Can I send in a reference letter from an industry supervisor?
Yes, you definitely can as long as you did a ceramic-field-related internship in the company.
