Undergraduate Student Speaking Contest at MS&T 2026

October 4, 2026 | Pittsburgh, PA

The Undergraduate Student Speaking Contest gives undergraduate students the opportunity to showcase their presentation skills through a short technical talk on a materials-related topic.

Presentations may be based on coursework, research, or internship experience, or a topic you're passionate about. This is a well-attended and highly engaging event, offering participants the chance to present in front of peers, connect with students from other universities working in similar areas, and gain exposure within the MS&T community.

Awards
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top presenters:
1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $250
3rd Place: $150
4th Place: $100

Participation Details

  • Participants must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
  • A maximum of two students from each school may participate.
  • Participants must submit the completed form below by September 11, 2026.
