Creativity Competition
Combining both science and art into any one individual's skill set is important because it can help nurture creativity in research and cultivate innovation in the workplace. For this reason, ACerS President's Council of Student Advisors (PCSA) organizes innovative-artistic initiative in the form of a creativity competition for students.
Glass Strengthening Competition
The Glass Strengthening Design Competition is a hands-on challenge where participants use creativity and real-world strengthening strategies to strengthen glass samples and compete in on-site impact testing at the Spring Meeting.

Shot Glass Competition
The Shot Glass Competition is a hands-on design challenge where participants use pipe cleaners to build protective structures around ceramic shot glasses, applying creativity, teamwork, and materials engineering principles as they compete to see whose design survives drops from increasing heights.
