The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation (CGIF) was created to attract, inspire, and train the next generation of ceramic and glass professionals. The CGIF’s mission is to help the industry attract and train the highest quality talent available to work with engineered systems and products that utilize ceramic and glass materials.
Over the last several years, the CGIF has endeavored to provide financial support for projects and activities that help fulfill the CGIF mission. Such projects were to directly relate to introducing students to ceramic and glass science. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic impacts, the CGIF will not extend a call for proposals for the remainder of 2020. Plans for 2021 will be announced in the new year. The CGIF Board of Trustees will, however, consider special or urgent requests for grant funding. For more information on those special circumstances, contact Belinda Raines, Program Manger, at braines@ceramics.org.
