The Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation (CGIF) and Penn State University will be co-hosting a virtual STEM Summer Camp for high school girls, July 19 – 22, 2021, from 10 am – 12 pm each day via Zoom.
Participants will view live presentations by researchers at Penn State and will partake in valuable interactions and interesting discussions. High school girls who participate will also receive a free package of demonstrations to do at home from the CGIF’s Mini Materials Demo Kit.
Participants are able to attend any or all of the sessions. The summer camp topics are:
Session 1: Piezoelectric and Magnetic Materials
Session 2: Shape Memory Alloys and Thermoelectric Materials
Session 3: Fluorescence, Solar Energy, Fiber Optics, and UV Light
Session 4: Sensing Materials
